A mindful day with Kim Lovelace and Sandrine Cranswick
Thank you for your interest in the ‘Mindfulness in Stillness and Movement’ day at Cowdray Hall. Please find below some practical information and a booking form:
This day of mindfulness practice will be facilitated by Qigong teacher Kim Lovelace and mindfulness teacher Sandrine Cranswick. Participants will be lead in various mindfulness meditations and Qigong movements throughout the day, thus exploring a continuous stream of mindfulness in stillness and movements. No previous experience in Qigong is required though some experience in mindfulness and meditation would help. The day is mostly spent in nurturing silence, thus enabling a deeper experience of mindfulness.
We will start with explanations about the day, and a time to ask questions. We encourage you to see the day as a time to be with yourself in a nurturing way; cultivating a sense of presence from moment to moment, being open to any experience, bringing kindness and curiosity to your experiences, working with your edges and not pushing beyond.
To make the most of your day, it is recommended that you let your family know that you won’t be available (unless special circumstances) and your phone will be switched off during sessions.
The mindfulness day starts at 11am, you are welcome to arrive a little earlier, if you wish to have a hot drink before starting the session.
Please bring your own lunch as we will be staying on the premises, and anything you need for the day: ie. Medicine, water bottle (you are welcome to refill your bottle with filtered water from the kitchen).
We will provide healthy teas, herb teas, snacks and fruit. Please do let us know if you have any food allergies.
Please wear comfortable clothes and layers so that you can adjust to the warm or cold. There will be matts, cushions and chairs but please bring your own blanket or shawl. Weather permitting we will be walking outside in nature, so you may wish to bring a warm jacket and appropriate shoes.
The mindfulness day will take place in the meeting room at Cowdray Hall (Go through the Hall, the meeting room is next to the kitchen), Easebourne, Midhurst, GU29 0AW, 11am to 5pm.
From Midhurst towards Easebourne, at the T junction, turn left into Easebourne Street, where you see the sign for the White Horse pub. Turn first right a few yards after that and right again immediately. You will find Cowdray Hall on your left. There is plenty of parking.
