This MBCT-L 8 week course has been designed by Oxford Mindfulness Centre. It is based on the original Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy manual developed by Segal, Mark Williams (Oxford Mindfulness Centre) and Teasdale. It combines mindfulness practices and cognitive-behavioural approaches, accessible to the general public. It offers practical ways to manage difficulties and distress in daily life and also how to cultivate joy, compassion, equanimity and wisdom. It supports people to deal with difficulties but also to savour life, realise their potential and flourish.

Mindfulness and Life

Mindfulness is to be attentive to the present moment, with curiosity, openness and non-judgment. It means to be aware of what we are doing while we are doing it, rather than being dragged away in the past or the future, or driven by our habitual patterns, or caught up in thoughts and stories.
