All day retreats offer a great opportunity to refresh and deepen our understanding and practice of mindfulness.
MBSR Retreat Day
This retreat day is part of the 8 week MBSR course. It is for current participants of MBSR courses and anyone who has completed an 8 week MBSR/MBCT course or similar experience, providing there are spaces available.
- Date/Time: In March, June and November of each year. Next date: Saturday 17 November 2018 11am – 5pm (FULL) and Saturday 16 March 2019 11am – 5pm (Meeting Room Cowdray Hall)
- Location: The Chapel at Cowdray Hall, Midhurst
- Fee: Included in the course fee for current participants (£35 for past participants). Advance booking only
Graduates Retreat Day
For anyone who has completed the 8 week MBSR/MBCT course or similar experience in mindfulness.
- Date/Time: Saturday 3 November 11am-5pm
- Location: Cowdray Hall Meeting Room, Midhurst
- Fee: £50 (£35 Concessions) Advance booking
Mindfulness in Silence and Movement
A day of mindfulness practices and Qigong movements with Sandrine Cranswick and Kim Lovelace.
- Date/Time: Saturday 12 January 2019 11am-5pm
- Location: Cowdray Hall Meeting Room, Midhurst

“If you feel under stress from modern living, whether it be from outside pressures or inner ones in your private life, then this retreat will give you space to take a breath and regain your balance. The feeling of freedom from spending most of the day in silence is surprising; one relaxes without the pressure of social interaction.
Being guided to drop down into oneself in meditation of the body and the breath, as well as learning how to enable random thoughts to flow out of the mind, gives you a skill which is essential for living each day more calmly, with greater awareness of yourself and your environment.
There are a variety of ‘activities’ too, such as walking with full awareness, as if one is walking for the first time. Also, there is a walk outside, when the natural world is observed with heightened awareness. At the end of the day there is an informal discussion in which participants may talk over their experiences.
